Creating a memorable billboard on a budget requires some other kind of creative thinking. To introduce the new Transformers 3D ride at Universal Studios, 2D, layered flat cutouts were combined with programmable lighting to make this one pop. The layered flats give the billboard dimension during the day and for nighttime viewing, the fire was lit up using translucent materials along with LED lighting and PLC programming.
