Google’s “Find That Thing” campaign used fabric and materials inspired by Gen Z fashion.
The ads encouraged people to try Google Lens, a function that lets you search what you see. By taking photos of the real material, Google Lens found shopping results for similar trends. This campaign spanned billboards, bus shelters and wallscapes.
We sewed a wall of fur, hand-cut fabric letters, and created a bus shelter insert out of pearls and granny square blankets.
Using real materials for this ad was an excellent way to prove that Google Lens works on just about anything!
This campaign won a Gold OBIE Award in 2023.
