Creed III x Hennessy
The rise of streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video has undoubtedly had an impact on box office sales in recent years. While movie theaters have traditionally been the primary way for audiences to view new releases, streaming services have provided an alternative that is often more convenient and affordable.
In order to compete with streaming services and generate immense buzz around the launch of Creed III, they utilized nearly every channel of Out Of Home (OOH) advertising while also engaging in a brand collaboration with Hennessy. The Creed Punch cocktail kit was designed by award-winning drink maker, Sean Johnson. Creed III had an exceptional opening weekend, bringing in $100.4M in global box office sales!
This impressive OOH campaign spanned billboards with 3D props, murals, wallscapes, transit ads with custom street furniture and VR integration, and even boxing gym Pop-ups!
Out-of-home advertising can reach a wide audience and create a visual impact that can generate interest and anticipation for upcoming movies. Additionally, OOH ads can be strategically placed in locations where the target audience is likely to see them, such as near movie theaters, popular entertainment districts, or high-traffic areas.
Experience Creeds Gym in VR
The goal was to provide an engaging experience for people waiting for the bus. To achieve this, Atomic created custom shelter inserts that featured boxing ring ropes and replaced the benches with boxing stools. To enhance the experience further, riders were prompted to scan a snapcode, which opened a VR experience of Creeds Gym on their phones. By moving their phones around 360º, they could explore the gym and try out both the speed bag and heavy bags.
The success of this multifaceted campaign is a great example of how effective a strong OOH strategy can be!
