Sprite Hoops

3D props posted on building walls can be a challenge for a variety of reasons.

This Chicago West Loop location has a mesh wall scape with no steel structure on which to attach the props. We were given permission to attach directly to this wall. The goal was to keep the pieces as lightweight as possible. The 18′ basketball player, Sprite logo, and backstop were all 2D flat cutouts with stand-offs that when married with the 3-D net and pipe created an eye-catching ad.

Highlighted Services

Design for this project was critical. We needed to select materials that would be lightweight and still structurally safe but with a minimal amount of attachment points. Working with the owner and posting company was critical in creating this project.

This project won a Silver Obie Award in 2013.
